EVGA Warranty Service
« on: January 09, 2016, 02:58:07 PM »
I know there will never be perfect service, and I know that there are people out there whom have had bad luck with EVGA and their Technical team..however I wanted to share my tale.

My friend a few years back bought a setup of mine when I had to sell it to get some funds. It had an X58 Board in it from EVGA. Fast forward to today and the board one day woke up and decided to give the dreaded instant 'FF'.
This was, if you look at the forums something that could happen to the older X58 boards and was usually the death sentence meaning RMA replacement.

I remembered that I did indeed register the board when I bought it new, so I decided to say what the heck and start the process. The person whom helped me was really damn good at assisting me with steps that I hadn't thought of , and never once made me feel idiotic for the questions I asked.
I have over time had to RMA a few EVGA products (many builds for people, and nothing is made perfect so there will be failures). EVGA has never once let me down. Their team has always assisted me, and I've always received back good product from what I sent in.

In contrast to some of my other dealings, at least I've never worried when I've started a support ticket with them.

Yep. I've had reliable RMA service for the 2 PSUs I RMAd with them. As you said though it's shipping back to the states that sucks.

Yeah they have to go to the US, but most times I've sent stuff its less than $30. Which to me (in the case of an old $350 EVGA board) is a small cost.
They send it back free, and I don't pay customs so I am happy.

The last one I sent, was actually only $23.50 CAD to send down, other than the lead time to get parts since they are in CA, its not too bad.
