Thoughts on M.2 Placement with EVGA Z270 mITX Board
« on: January 28, 2017, 12:54:47 PM »
Hey everyone,

So I have been pondering my next hardware move and it will probably be a re-fresh of my Vaunted Z87 Stinger board (which after a few RMA's has been solid finally).

My only concern however when looking at this latest generation of Z270 boards from EVGA is the M.2 Placement.
It is on the back side of the PCB, so it will more than likely be devoid of any airflow while in my case.

That is the board in question.
Anyone think this might be an issue with my Storage drive? I have seen my current M.2 Get a little warm, but it at least is cooled effectively enough.
Just curious for long term use, with that being the placement.
