On the bench today we have the Ballistix Elite 32GB 3466 DDR4 Kit

The Ballistix Elite DDR4-3466 may cost a pretty penny but if you can afford the asking price Ė which is actually better than most for this class Ė they easily justify the cost of entry into this elite world of no compromise solutions.

Congrats on the new home, yes packing and moving so much fun NOT..

Yea I agree the .17HMR is great round. Fun.

Thanks really looking forward to the move being done and never having to deal with a landlord again,

Laughing my ass off, Tell my boss there is an issue with the ticketing system at work and that some kinds or tickets do not send emails to the clients when we reply to them, he argues that it is not possible if one type works they all work. So he goes into the logs and BAM!!!! a bigger issue than what I stated. so now he is losing it on the Dev team. Also got an apology it was more like a Rick from Rick and Morty apology but I'll take it haha

Plus by wife turns 30 today, no longer am I the only old one in the house :P

Why, MSI? Looks like a shitty Xbone controller

HAHA I was thinking the same if it is cheap enough it will have a market but if it costs more then a xbone one then it will not sell at all

MSI Force GC30 and GC20 New Wireless and Wired Game Controllers

MSi Force GC30 and GC20 are the all-new game controllers from MSI. These new controllers are cross-platform working on Windows, Android and popular gaming consoles easily. Unlike most controllers on the market, you can go from a normal 4-way D-pad to an 8-way D-pad easily by adding a metal cover that is magnetically attached.

News / Intelís New 8th Gen Coffee Lake CPUs Due out Tomorrow
« on: October 04, 2017, 07:33:00 AM »
Today our Newest Content Creator makes his debut, Dave will be assisting with news at RHR so make sure to give him a warm welcome. He is also the creator of many of the Avatars and art work on RHR as well as some upcoming shirts and accessories we hope to have out around xmas time.

Dave goes by the name Eyetrance on the forums so make sure to say hi and give him and praises or advice you have.

Intelís latest 8th generation Coffee Lake Core processors drops on October 5. They will differ from previous generations by including more cores. The Core i5 and i7 will feature six cores (previously only four; i7 will still have hyperthreading), and the Core i3 will have four cores (previously two cores with hyperthreading). The Coffee Lake CPUs are built on a 14nm++ process. Comparatively to Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake offers higher cache sizes but lower base clocks. However, the single-core max frequencies are higher. The TDP is also higher.

Very interesting. A soundproof room would be great. Out of curiousity where do the resonating chambers go? I know exactly what they do, but haven't heard of them in house before.

They are run between the drywall and studs and held on with sound dampening clips. When I pick them up I'll explain more on the video haha.

Lol I use roxul daily, it still makes you itchy. Don't rub it on your balls

Is that a challenge :p

Go for high density roxul for soundproofing insulation, it's cheaper than fibreglass and has better soundproofing properties. You can make a box out of it, put a 130db alarm inside and you wont hear it.

I was considering them as well, more I read the easier the decision is to go with Roxul as they also don't leave you itchy as fuck during install.

I think this would be a good idea. Not only does it give us more insight into the new office, but it may be helpful for other people planning or thinking about doing this themselves to their own office/room for recording.

Good point, right now I am just pricing things out

$500 Drywall (over quoted lots of extra) this is walls and roof done twice
$60 for Green Glue Acoustic drywall glue
$90 Owens Corning Acoustic insulation
$50 Resonating chamber runs for soundproofing
$20 Noiseproof Caulking
$50 Thick door and door sweep from reStore
$770 this is over ordering everything, still, need to find a few things like wall hats and sound dampening outlets

Still, need carpet and subfloor will worry about that as I get closer. No Laminate is not an option as it is a sound amplifier where shag is a natural acoustic damper.
