On the bench today we have the Ballistix Elite 32GB 3466 DDR4 Kit

The Ballistix Elite DDR4-3466 may cost a pretty penny but if you can afford the asking price Ė which is actually better than most for this class Ė they easily justify the cost of entry into this elite world of no compromise solutions.

News / Intelís New 8th Gen Coffee Lake CPUs Due out Tomorrow
« on: October 04, 2017, 07:33:00 AM »
Today our Newest Content Creator makes his debut, Dave will be assisting with news at RHR so make sure to give him a warm welcome. He is also the creator of many of the Avatars and art work on RHR as well as some upcoming shirts and accessories we hope to have out around xmas time.

Dave goes by the name Eyetrance on the forums so make sure to say hi and give him and praises or advice you have.

Intelís latest 8th generation Coffee Lake Core processors drops on October 5. They will differ from previous generations by including more cores. The Core i5 and i7 will feature six cores (previously only four; i7 will still have hyperthreading), and the Core i3 will have four cores (previously two cores with hyperthreading). The Coffee Lake CPUs are built on a 14nm++ process. Comparatively to Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake offers higher cache sizes but lower base clocks. However, the single-core max frequencies are higher. The TDP is also higher.

So in Dec I move to my new house,
In the new house there is a large storage room off the laundry room that I plan to move one wall a few feet forward and setup a full office.

I will also most likely be doing the dual drywall with green glue method of soundproofing as well as full in wall insulation and drywall hats plus isolation bars.

This will be the full deal inside the walls and roof to make for a soundproof recording area.

just a thought should we do a full Vlog of this while the build goes on, from deconstruction to full build and testing?

The wall above will be moving 3-6 feet towards where I took the picture making for a larger office.
what do you think?

Real Hardware Reviews / Ryzen 3: Budget or Bust
« on: September 11, 2017, 07:34:30 AM »
As we have shown both the Ryzen 3 1300X and Ryzen 3 1200 are tailor made for value orientated buyers as they are both packed with value. The very fact that AMD was able to offer such a value packed CPU like the Ryzen 3 series for only $130 or less just shows exactly how efficient their binning process is.

Real Hardware Reviews / MSI GeForce GTX 1050Ti Gaming X 4GB
« on: September 06, 2017, 07:18:53 AM »
The MSI GeForce GTX 1050Ti Gaming X 4G may cost more than the typical 1050Ti but for enthusiasts it still represents one heck of a bargain. After all, for a mere thirty dollars more than a stock GTX 1050Ti you get a much better card that is capable of a lot more than what you can expect from a factory stock model.

Crucial BX300: Not your typical budget SSD

When you mix great NAND with a good controller and then only charge the same prices as the last generation the end result in one incredible value.
Crucial really out did themselves here.

With their combination of excellent (for their class) performance and extremely reasonable asking prices the Ryzen 5 series is a home-run for AMD. So much so that recommending a slightly cheaper Intel i3-7350K or even a similarly priced Intel i5-7500K is bloody difficult. But don't just take our word for it, instead let's break it down so you can see where we are coming from and if you agree or not.

Repair Guides DIY / Amd 2xx and 69xx black screen in windows
« on: August 13, 2017, 11:27:35 AM »
Noticed for some time now many Amd cards mobile and desktop have stopped working after any drivers are installed.

Once drivers install the screen goes black and never comes back. When you force reboot you see video till the Windows login screen appears which just shows up black.

Just wanted to know if anyone has found any solutions to this?

Thanks
