Old post but it might be waking up with the recent surge in mining mania.

A few days ago I bought a save on food (grocery store) card and a Canadian tire card, nothing too exciting but I have to off set the $$$ I blew on GPUs for a couple months then I can look at toys ie Ryzen 1600/mobo/ddr4 or Zen 2 in the beginning of 2018.

Nicely done nothing wrong with that.

Today with btc I bought 6 more risers
A 1050 ti (finally up to 4)
A Asus am3 motherboard

Now on the 27th I will get
Evga 1080 1070 all in one water cooler to get the noise and heat down
Also need more boards so that to.

Right now I'm mining at $20 usd a day plus so next pay out should be good

3 accepts BTC guys, and LTC and DOGE so big plus

Vertocoin with the Lyra2REv2, around 7 USD/day/card. This is the same result Inik is getting. Did you guys noticed that 1060 3GB are all out of stock? And the 6 GB versions jumped in price, if there are any left in stock. Soon the only card readily available will be the GTX 1080!

many miners bitch about the 1080 hell a buddy twice has offered to trade his 1080 for my 1070 which I use to game so I am fine with but he never shows up haha

Right now I'm hunting for the evga 1080ti with aio cooling

And how much hashing power? Give us the Bitcoin address so we can see it in action.

My main rig is off one of the fans was hitting a cord so I turned it off in the middle of the night and had to leave early for work so did not have time to correct

thats just 2 of my 5 1070's going and the 1050 ti's are off today

Soullessone21 could you recommend some half decent risers that have voltage regulators on them that are cheapish? I'm thinking if I get 2 I can squeeze all 4 gpus (Rx580, R9 280, GTX1060 6GB and R7 265) onto the same motherboard.

I'm thinking put a riser kit on the top pci e x1 and the bottom pci e x4.

Ps, I've got a seasonic 850w slightly older platinum psu so it should power all that.

I have been buying cheap ones but have lost my love for them due to compatibility, few people have dropped these ones off and they work perfectly, their also a Canadian company so always nice to support local

Interesting, though slightly disappointed with the lack of a DC power solution, meaning you'll need a standard power supply to power this.

I agree think Asrock is the only main company to do so commonly though

News / BIOSTAR Announces A68N-5600 SoC Motherboard for SFF and HTPCs

At $64.99 the A68n-5600 maybe BIOSTAR clearing through old hardware but does get the job done for a low cost media center

Converting a dell optiplex 390 into 4 gpu badass

Testing time

Loading windows right now but this is just my first prototype as I will mod it much more before the finished product plus I am waiting on my better risers to show up

Things that are left, good HDD mounting spot.

Fan and front I/O mounting spot to get rid of boot error all these are quick

Next one I think I will do 90% in the thicker aluminum over the black painted stuff

What do you mean it will bottleneck?

I think he is referring to gaming. The best btc setups I have made yet was using a Athlon 5350 and am1 board for low watt 3 gpu setups

The war started a few days back when a guy at work left a big box wall to get into my office and said "And We will Make Soul's Country pay for it"

so today when he went for lunch

Balls in your court now :P

Anyone got any tips on how to install the gtx1060 with the r7 265?

I'm thinking of putting the GTX1060 in pci e 1 (I just have to try it out with the old x4 965BE ya it'll bottleneck but I've gotta see what happens) any way back to topic so I install the gtx1060 with NVidia drivers 1st then put the r7 265 in pci e 2 but do I need to install amd gpu drivers for it to work in  nicehash along side the gtx1060?

Once you plug it in the old Catalyst drivers should pick it up, I have a 290x and 1070 in the same system without issues.

Have the newest Catalyst and Geforce drivers at the same time.

Give it a shot and if there is major issues give us a heads up

guys this weekend I will make a bunch of 4 gpu open air cases that will be cheap and easy to use if people are interested in buying just the case, cpu/mobo/ram/hdd to get up and going. Will also provide psu's on request but those are heavy so cost lots on shipping
