Lol I use roxul daily, it still makes you itchy. Don't rub it on your balls

Is that a challenge :p

Go for high density roxul for soundproofing insulation, it's cheaper than fibreglass and has better soundproofing properties. You can make a box out of it, put a 130db alarm inside and you wont hear it.

I was considering them as well, more I read the easier the decision is to go with Roxul as they also don't leave you itchy as fuck during install.

I think this would be a good idea. Not only does it give us more insight into the new office, but it may be helpful for other people planning or thinking about doing this themselves to their own office/room for recording.

Good point, right now I am just pricing things out

$500 Drywall (over quoted lots of extra) this is walls and roof done twice
$60 for Green Glue Acoustic drywall glue
$90 Owens Corning Acoustic insulation
$50 Resonating chamber runs for soundproofing
$20 Noiseproof Caulking
$50 Thick door and door sweep from reStore
$770 this is over ordering everything, still, need to find a few things like wall hats and sound dampening outlets

Still, need carpet and subfloor will worry about that as I get closer. No Laminate is not an option as it is a sound amplifier where shag is a natural acoustic damper.

So in Dec I move to my new house,
In the new house there is a large storage room off the laundry room that I plan to move one wall a few feet forward and setup a full office.

I will also most likely be doing the dual drywall with green glue method of soundproofing as well as full in wall insulation and drywall hats plus isolation bars.

This will be the full deal inside the walls and roof to make for a soundproof recording area.

just a thought should we do a full Vlog of this while the build goes on, from deconstruction to full build and testing?

The wall above will be moving 3-6 feet towards where I took the picture making for a larger office.
what do you think?

Idiots in the rain. Swerving into the lane a few inches ahead of me then slamming on your brakes, while on a wet downhill slope, is a good way to get rear ended. Luckily that guy's Yaris brakes like shit and I managed to stop faster than him. ::)

damn man slow down or HWC people will tell you how everything is your fault :P

Today on the bench we have the Ballistix Tactical 16GB Kit

With its combination of excellent performance, great versatility, and ease of use the Ballistix Tactical DDR4-3000 kit really needs to be on your short list. Just expect to pay a bit more than the average DDR4 kit for it.

Real Hardware Reviews / Ryzen 3: Budget or Bust

As we have shown both the Ryzen 3 1300X and Ryzen 3 1200 are tailor made for value orientated buyers as they are both packed with value. The very fact that AMD was able to offer such a value packed CPU like the Ryzen 3 series for only $130 or less just shows exactly how efficient their binning process is.

After checking my email on I noticed that I have Infact been pwned. So I dug a little deeper and found my Uplay email address & password in plain text on a Russian hacking forum, along with thousands of other people's logins. These were posted on January 27th 2017 so I don't think this is a reported hack. If you have a Uplay account, change your passwords immediately.

dude thanks for sharing I got hacked on junk mobile games from days of old :O

Real Hardware Reviews / MSI GeForce GTX 1050Ti Gaming X 4GB
« on: September 06, 2017, 07:18:53 AM »
The MSI GeForce GTX 1050Ti Gaming X 4G may cost more than the typical 1050Ti but for enthusiasts it still represents one heck of a bargain. After all, for a mere thirty dollars more than a stock GTX 1050Ti you get a much better card that is capable of a lot more than what you can expect from a factory stock model.

MSI GeForce GTX 1050Ti Gaming X 4GB

What video cards would be good to mine, but not expensive to buy?

Need some info from you first. Is your power cheap or free?
What kind and wattage psus you got?

If power is cheap and you got the power I like 280x 7970s 290 290x 390 390x as they all pop up on the cheap

If your power is not cheap and you lack the wattage I like the 1050 ti and 1060 6gb
