The gym and small victories
« on: March 30, 2016, 06:13:16 PM »
Throughout the day I got a few compliments and I thought people were just being odd but I then noticed I am wearing my favorite work shirt and it's fitting comfortably for the first time in years.

I have been going to the gym every day for 4 weeks and already can fit in large shirts again not just xl and all my pants are finally cozy again

If your not going to the gym do it DO IT NOW!
if fat me can do it so can you :)

Well done. Keep it up.

I try for 4-5 days per week. It's so hard to get and maintain a routine, but once you are going steady (and you don't justify not going with excuses) it's much easier. Even if it's only a quick jog.

I'm into weight lifting, amateur stuff though

6'1 was at 240lbs now at 185ish

Squat 335lbs
Deadlift 385
Bench 185
Overhead 160
Barbell row 140

Not my best lifts...

Been doing 5x5 stronglifts for 1.5 years on and off.

We're doing the gym 2-3 times a week. For myself I'm doing about 30ish minutes of cardio, 15 minutes on the elliptical and 15 minutes on the rowing machine. Other 30 mins spent on strengthening using weights and machines.

Definitely looking forward to hockey starting up early June.

As long as you're active..you could be a lumberjacker :P

I hate machines with a passion, give me a barbell and I'll figure something out  :D
