TIL that European quart bottles do not have the same threaded opening as ours. Of course learned that after draining my transmission fluid and trying to thread my bottle pump onto the new fluid bottle.

Managed to get the new tranny fluid in but it took 30 minutes instead of 5.

Damn that sucks man,

Sleep and time, there are not enough of either in my house anymore :P

Our sysadmin is our IT manager. If something happened to him we would be in deep trouble. Only he knows the internal systems intimately.  When I joined the team I took over network security which has been a blast.

Good admins make or break a department.

Very true. Sadly the admin whom did this great work has moved on to bigger and better but he left us with a system we are able to update and fix:)

I wired up an entire new office building once with all new CAT6. Every wall jack and punch panel I did myself. 5 months of work, Then my IT manager decides to move the black box to a new location in the attic, (This was a three story office building) and have the cables re-run to the new location all on a day I was sick. Came in the next day was told what had happened and maintenance had cut off the ends of the CAT6 that had been in the black box that had the labels of what jacks they were! I had to bust out the Fluke and climb up and down three flights of stairs and a ladder for each walljack. Took another 3 months to get it all working again. I spent 8 months wiring one building then was "let go". I was so damn pissed!

Been in IT for 8 years now.

I was a copier service technician for 3 of those years. I left that job in Feb. to start a new job at a manufacturing company in the IT department.
I had just installed a new Samsung copier at a very rural school with a two hour drive to the location. A couple days after the install I get a service call about it not printing. I ask them to cancel the print job and try again, they say it's not working. I ask if it's saying any errors at the bottom of the screen they say no. So I drive 2 hours out to them to find that there is no paper in the machine. The paper that had been in the machine was half a ream left over from testing the equipment and they had no paper on site. When I showed them the error at the bottom of the screen saying "please load paper" they were like, "Oh! We thought these new copiers did not need paper loaded in them!" I gave them half a ream of paper I had in my car and left. That is my most memorable service call in three years of losing my mind working on copiers and printers. Must happier now with a desk IT job again. But I did get put in charge of all the toner and printers and copiers at my current company due to my "expert" level of knowledge of them.

Damn at least it was only 2 hours.

First IT job I had I was busy upgrading bank machines and replacing the old dial up ones.

We get a emergency call 8 hours away, which includes 2 ferry rides and 4 hours of driving to get to.

At this time cell phones were not huge yet and the call was put into head office with next to zero reception.

They send me out and half way there I am told a wind storm hit one of the islands behind me making massive delays for my return.

I finally get to the site and the whole island is full of stoned out of their mind hippies. Look at the atm and see (no com error) go "oh great phones are most likely down" go and check their front desk phone and it's down to. Follow the long ass cord to the com box to find some methed out hippie ripping it apart. Get the building security and they chase him off. I then spend hours re punching all the cords. Leave site hours later and don't end up home till the next day when it's already time for work and I slept in my car at the ferry terminal. Needless to say I quit that day haha.

Glad to see AMD shaking up the market. I built a Skylake i7 rig and I never even put Windows on it. I was using an FX6300 desktop and kept using it till I got the funds for my Ryzen build. Much happier to keep to AMD.

Welcome and I honestly was amazed with the fx6300 I used around Xmas. Just upgraded that test bench to ryzen and should have some videos and reviews about it soon.

Newborn son likes to cry 24/7 so it's hard to do voice overs.

I think with ryzens great price to performance it means many buyers can get a good cpu for less then splurge on a badass gpu.
