Games / Re: Battleborn Beta weekend, did you try it out?
« on: May 05, 2016, 11:29:01 AM »
I played both Beta's (Closed and Open) and the closed beta had a lot of problems with character balance, it is a bit better now and my favourite character Orendi is playable although hard sometimes in multiplayer being an AoE based DPS character with little HP. I currently play on PS4 if anyone has it and enjoying the game quite a bit. I haven't been on or checking the forums in a while do to work and just being overall busy but I am still around just not as much.

I never played Splatoon, I do own all consoles but I usually refrain from purchasing games that seem like online/competitive multiplayer only as I mostly enjoy playing coop or single player games. I am a huge Deadpool fan as well so the humor of Sunset Overdrive just struck a cord with me and I ended up really enjoying it. I know a few friends that always felt the same way, but obviously if you can't get into the humor or unique gameplay I could see it being not your type of game. Another couple game series I really enjoy are the Devil May Cry and Bayonetta games, humor and gameplay of those games I really enjoy.

Honestly I end up not gaming on PC most of the time, I have a level 25 trophy score(around 6000 trophies on Playstation) so 90% of the time multi-platform games I play on PS4. I do play exclusives for all consoles and PC that interest me, so pretty much that high achievement score on PSN is what ties me to console usually.

Got Diablo 3 when it first came out for PC and didn't end up enjoying it all that much, although have been thinking of picking up the expansion and game for PS4 if it drops to 20$ Seeing it has already been at 30$ a few times. Want to see how different the controls are via console and if I enjoy the game more than when it was first released.

I'm almost at that time of year to, though I'm likely sticking with Rogers myself unless I can find a better plan for 50$ that gives me over 500 megs of data with unlimited texting US and Canada. I really like my Sony Xperia ZL so thinking of upgrading to the Z3+ Dual as looking at the specs seems like a really good phone for what I use it for, and I like that it is waterproof seeing I have in the past dropped my phone into water on the beach or Pool and been pushed in occasionally.

not sure why it went into tablet mode was that way when I logged on even reset pc, thought it was a glitch that it defaulted that way but didn't even know there was  an option for that, was pissing me off for a while seeing I hate everything being full screen.

Not sure if its a bug or not, but the latest update on windows 10 for me completely removed my desktop and the icons on my taskbar. I now have to navigate my computer completely through the start menu/xbox looking start screen that I hated with a passion from windows 8.

I play occasionally on PS4 <-LeonBelmont is my PSN but I haven't been really active in the past bit due to other obligations, but if I am on I'm willing to help out I've beaten all the raids and almost downed level 35 Prison of Elders, the final boss I got stuck on but that is about it. You can always send me a message and I will join, right now I'm in the process of playing Resident Evil Revelations 2's Raid mode and finishing up my review for the game. Outside of that I don't really have any games I'm playing on PS4 until Just Cause 3 or Assassin's Creed: Syndicate.

I'm hesitant on upgrade to windows 10 right away because I play Final Fantasy 14 on my PC and unsure how compatible the new windows is with it. I remember when windows vista came out and I played Final Fantasy 11 back in the day it wasn't compatible for a few months and had to resort to playing it on Playstation 2.

Games / Re: Need some Great single player games

Deus Ex: Human Revolution if you haven't played it is great, same with the latest Tomb Raider reboot, Just Cause 2 can also be a lot of fun. Outside of that I'm not 100% sure as most of the games I play PC are all multiplayer/mmo I use console for single player games seeing I didn't like the old DRM policies back in the day and have mostly stuck with those for single player.

Arguably you could also say Shenmue was the best game ever made as a multitude of websites have said so. But Even so games don't tend to age well but for the period of time they were released and you look at what you had at that point in time games like FF7, FF6,  LoZ: ALTTP, LoZ: OOT and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Honestly FF7 is far from my favorite FF game, my favorites go FF12->FF9->FF4. But looking at when it came out and how revolutionary it was at the time its hard to say it wasn't one of the best games of its time. Regardless if you may not like it or not you have to take in perspective that games now are not nearly the same as games were back then 10+ years ago. Honest to say anything made by Bethesda for example I find boring and don't like, though 70% of Square Enix/Eidos games I really dig. Everyone is entitled to there own opinions but if you were to have gone back to that period of time its hard to say it wasn't one of the best games. Saying that now with all the new tech doesn't do an old game justice its like comparing the graphics of the original mario bros vs gears of war 3. It doesn't make sense to compare to any games that came out a generation or more later.

Well I've enjoyed Destiny, as I said story is alright though is quite fragmented through the missions. (except in the expansions where the story is actually more fleshed out and well done) Although I have to admit a game can be good or even great even without much of a story at all a great example is Bloodborne. That games story is pretty much 3 small cutscenes that make little sense unless you read all the hidden books and item descriptions throughout the game. Which is kind of strange and unique kind of storytelling on its own but the gameplay and boss fights are fantastic.

I wouldn't say that Sam as Destiny is probably like 5 story missions is = 1 quest in Witcher, would be more accurate. Although there also is only like 30 or so missions total in Destiny before you've done everything story wise. I also have to say Destiny is really well polished and fun on its own for a quick distraction its only problem is lack of overall content. I have a feeling if Bungie learns from this Destiny 2 could be something great. Honestly wasn't that bad for a new IP it could of been a lot worse.
