12 valve and an NV5600 :P
Currently have 318 with NP435 trans(granny low!) and NP241 tcase.
As nice as torque would be, the truck is already 5000lbs and heavy enough without a diesel.

Was the gap too wide to straddle (wheels either side)? Hard to tell in the picture.
The gap where the F350 went in was too wide to straddle. In my case there was a spotter but my NP435's granny-first & and 4-low while riding the brakes was "too fast" and there was a bit of communication breakdown that resulted in me over-correcting. I ended up too close then slid in when I tried to back away. We did not have a good communications system in place. Needs more analog.

I will take most of the blame for sliding in. I firmly believe that if I was paying attention to the obstacle instead of a spotter I could have positioned my truck better.
I am not mad at the spotter, I am annoyed with myself for not doing it myself. I know my truck best, it is part of me.

Here, have a video:

Anyway, time for other stories!

So I was offroading with this guy. His 1-ton Ford (F350, 7.3 IDI) is quite heavy and slides around with little provocation. The ground is also both a lot slicker and a lot looser than it looks, just sayin.

More sliding when I take my 1/2-ton Dodge (W150, 318LA) around the other side to pull him out....

Fortunately my Dodge was able to drive right out with two people in the corner of the box! I was then able to drag the Ford to safe ground, and lived to wheel another day!

A few years ago I tried to do this using RemoteFX, but at the time it seemed to only allocate a small fraction of the GPU to each VM and would not let me allocate things to my needs.
You might see if there have been any changes, or look at what Citrix offers.

I sound like a complete asshole between 3-5K RPM now though.
Is there a leak or is it the lack of a cat?
Also, needs moar pix.

New ceramic brake pads are way way better then the old ones. It's nice to stop without the brakes screaming at me.
So you either ran your brakes to the squeaky-tang, or you ran them right through the pad material and into the metal.... *facepalm*
Yes, any new brakes will be an improvement! :P

Also, remember that the harder your pad material, the sooner you have to replace your rotor. Same for the other way around with hard rotor and soft pads. It is a balance depending on what sort of driving you do.
You want the pads to wear out first though, they are designed to be the wear item.

LP, I would normally try to squeeze in, but I am already living too far out of the trees and mountains as it is. (and I am in Grande Cache, so that is really saying something.)

You should skip Edmonton and party your way up to Grande Cache from Red Deer! IIRC it is only a few hours between GC and RD if you head west instead of going through Edmonton.
Also, what type of partaying are you doing? :P

Was poking through my steam library and this was in the news for Rainbow Six Vegas 2, reminded me of this thread.
It is a year old, but there are certainly some games listed.

I was not aware of kissing simulator. :P

It is perhaps like Tron meets F-ZERO meets WipeOut and they all had a baby.
There are a lot of workshop tracks but part of the idea is that your car can jump and fly for a limited time, so you can roam around as you please.
It supports online multiplayer and split-screen coop, though I have not tested either.
It also supports VR headsets! ...that I have also not tested.
Still though, seems cool. I have been playing it a bit lately using steam streaming.

It was your fault if you tightened the bolt. :P Also 3000lbs? That is not a truck.
Either way, to me it sounds like typical traffic in your city.  ;)

LP, I just need to say that you should not be afraid of all trucks, mine will not try to kill you. :)

You know, to speed things up you guys could go over there and lift his 90lbs case for him... then drink all his beer.  ;)
