Everything Hardware / ViewSonic VA2719-2K: cheap 1440p, worth it?
« Last post by Bond007 on January 06, 2018, 05:30:50 AM »
I have been waiting forever for what I was considering a good bang for buck monitor (in my mind 1440p, 24ish inch, non-TN, >60hz and keeping cost down.

My wait has been futile. However, I have just stumbled on the VA2719-2K, and it hits most boxes...1440p, IPS, 27Ē (which I am ok with), and 60hz (though the minimal info I can find online has people OCing it to 75-80hz).

There are pretty much no reviews and minimal info available for it, but I can get it new for $300 out the door from a local store...seems crazy cheap. I am in Australia, but the $ is pretty much on par.

Thoughts?

Everything Hardware / Re: Anyone know of a good case with a 420mm rad support?

That looks like almost the perfect case! How's the airflow compared to other phanteks enthoo cases? I've heard they have pretty bad airflow. Also the newegg description says it supports only 240s in the front, that's incorrect?

Guest and Other Site Reviews / Re: MSI GTX 1070 Ti Titanium review

MSIís version built around its ďGamingĒ PCB brings more to the table than your average GPU. A nice beefy 10 phase power delivery system built with Military Class components for durability and cooled by MSIís TwinFrozr VI cooling system. Pair that with MSIís AfterBurner software and you have a nice overclocking experience that wonít leave you disappointed. With the lower base clocks, it makes the overclocking potential much more impressive.

Not the best pic but this is it. Ryzen build 1600X MSI Titanium board and that 1070TI with the alphacool eisbaer 420 in the top. It's a bit smudged but it's glass

Damn not bad at all, out of my budget but damn nice

Damn son that is sexy as hell, my birthday is coming up ;) haha

the glass one just looks so damn nice but that extra what $80 for glass is a hard sell plus $30 for shipping...

That can always be the dream

I'm using the Enthoo Luxe tempered like this one that's on sale right now at the Egg. I got it a while back on sale at CC  https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811854006&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwordsCA-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwordsCA-PC-_-pla-_-Cases+%28Computer+Cases+-+ATX+Form%29-_-N82E16811854006&gclid=Cj0KCQiA4bzSBRDOARIsAHJ1UO5mrXXsZMhLSpEu1Rcil19T4P0nXFGtpMvMoDAcqLvHSg4IHHcLChEaAggcEALw_wcB

EDIT:I just realized that link is the regular not tempered glass but I'm pretty certain the insides are the same

I have a 420 installed in the top and there's still room for a 280 in the front. One of the best cases I have had
