  1. Happy New Year guys!
  2. Thanks man. Really my only choices were, try to fix it or buy a new one, which I may still have to do if it doesn't hold up to pressure.
  3. So I think I tightened the mounting screws too much. I noticed spider cracks on the Acrylic CPU block top. They didn't look to go all the way through so I decided to try to sand them out. The block is fairly thick. Like half an inch. I ended up sanding off about 2.5mm off the top. Polished it up and I think it looks ok now. Hopefully. Will have to do a lengthy leak test and see if the cracks show up again. Here are the before and after photos.
  4. Wow, nice work here. I really need to work on my Afterburner skills.
  5. Thank you, I appreciate that. I will keep posting as I do more mods for this build. Going to be making some bigger pieces, like full custom back panel for the opposite side of the Phanteks EVOLV X case.
  6. Been practicing on my first metal work ever. I don't have a CNC machine or any special bending tools. I did this with metal snips, a mini anvil and hammer, hand files, and sandpaper. It is a pump mount, plus tube passthrough for the PSU shroud. The first 4 pictures are my first attempt, the last picture, the one painted black, is my second attempt and finished piece.
  7. Thanks for the input. I think I am leaning that way too. A couple extra bends, but yeah I think it looks better.
  8. Planning my bends using half inch wood dowel. which you like better, first or second. Only the resevoir intake is different.
  9. So I want to do push pull on my front EK-Coolstream 360 XE mounted at the front case. I have 3 Corair ML Pro fans I was going to use on the outside (push) and 3 Corsair QL 120 fans on the inside (pull) for thier beautiful lighting. They have majorly different CFMs. Will that cause any problems for either of the sets of fans? The airflow from the push fans will lose alot of steam pushing through that thick radiator right, so maybe won't push too hard against the blades of the fans on the inside?
  10. Seems like a great deal to me. I'd buy it.
  11. Oh ok, was just curious as when I was researching why my pump might have blown, many many many people said thiers was a DDC and DDCs blow often.
  12. My pump that blew was a DDC. This time I went with a D5. What type of pumps did you have blow up?
  13. Oh yes, the back of the units have a port for led stop plug fitting, so they will both be lit up too. Should be easy to see whats going on in them, plus they will look good.
  14. Haha, thanks. I will let you know how it goes. The reason I wanted a filter is because my last pump blew. Not sure what caused it, but my GPU block showed signs of nickle flaking. So wanted to be safe.
  15. I am working on a watercooled build, not quite ready to show it yet. I got this Aquacomputer filter that has ball valves on the inlet and outlet so you can close them and clean the filter without having to drain the loop. Afterwards I did some research and found out the holes are so small it really restricts the system alot. Some said over 60% less flow in thier systems. Since I can't return it at this point, I ordered a second one and am going to run them in parallel. Hope this works!
  16. More expensive than I was hoping for. Think I'll end up either hand crafting some from acrylic with a drill and other hand tools, or just order some from Clockwerks.
  17. Yeah, I am actually regretting my petg choice, but it was too late. I already bought 3 packs ot Primochill 1/2" petg. I can't return it unfortunately. My next loop will be acrylic or metal tubing.
  18. So just an update here. I got my hands on some MSDS sheets for some of the liquids. The EK-Cryofuel, both clear and pastel, don't contain gylcol, at least not indicated on the MSDS sheets. And the Mayhems Pastels V1, and V2, and X1 liquids are all glycol free. All these SHOULD be safe with PETG.
  19. OK, thats awesome man. Thanks for the link. Cant try it out myself yet as my PC is still down while I do some mods, and custom sleeving. But I am excited to try this out.
  20. Thanks man. Appreciate that. Can't wait to see what your results are. I mean, I can wait. But, you know.
  21. OK, mind is blown! I can't believe you built a Borderlands 3 capable rig for $50!
