News / If you have a modern Intel board, Update! if you can
« Last post by Soullessone21 on January 18, 2018, 07:17:29 AM »
"MSI strongly recommends its users to update their systems by downloading and applying the latest BIOS. It is recommended to review Intel’s Security Advisory, for more information, including appropriate identification and mitigation measures."

https://www.realhardwarereviews.com/msiupdate/

MSi has updated Bios's for most of their Z370 2xx 1xx x99 x299 boards. If you're running one of these boards make sure to hit the link on our news post to get your update, if you have other brands many of them have posted updates as well.

Real Hardware Reviews / Re: Crucial MX500 500GB: The evolution of the MX series
« Last post by GaK_45 on January 14, 2018, 06:34:02 PM »
Changing to SMI from the big M really makes a HUGE... like GHINA difference. Methinks the 1TB will easily beat the MX300 1TB and edge in on the 2TB capacity version... and that is just shocking as the MX300 2050GB'er is a monster (for a SATA based drive). Crucial really knocked it out of the park. So much so I doubt anyone will care about the type of NAND used... or at least won't until the BX500 lands. THEN things are going to get very interesting again. ;)

Thanks for the review. Wish I had this gpu. It would definetly be on my short list, depending on price, when it comes time to upgrade.

FYI, I think the first sentence of the first 2 paragraphs are missing words: “...and these who does...” and “On the surface this really not all...”.

Thanks for the heads up, think I corrected to what he meant :)

On the bench today we have the ASUS STRIX GTX 1070 O8G GAMING

Review: Asus Strix GTX 1070

“The ASUS STRIX GTX 1070 08G is the very epitome of what all NVIIDIA GTX 1070's should strive to be. That is to say a great value that makes it rather difficult to justify spending more money for a 1080-series card.”

Twitter: Like and Retweet GTX1070 Post
Facebook: Like and Share GTX1070 Post

Special inclusion for forum only a photo that did not make it into the review of the glow ;)

PS we also did some mining testing (sadly from DEC Soul moved in DEC so was way behind on posting this all my bad)
