New Project, ultra low cost build *8 core Build for under $120*

Paid for this bad boy on the weekend $39.00 with taxes,

tonight we start the "8 Core Build for under $120" going to cap my spending at $120 meaning I have a total ofr $81 left for this build

Going to go with dual quad cores and at least 8gb ram to start

gotta find a good GPU though for cheap but the used market has many of those ๐Ÿ™‚

Will talk about starting specs once it's in my hands as well as do a base line video for it

What tests do we want to see?

Just installing windows now for the base tests

what's the parts list?

@Bond007:

what's the parts list?

Powered her up last night but first lets take a closer look

Above we have the tower, Kyle thinks it's giant I say it's average ๐Ÿ˜‰

Damn why do recyclers love stickers.. it's about using less waste not making more

Originally was considering modding the case and sticking with this one but I have a pile of cases from peoples thrown out dead old systems I would rather use

So under that stock 771 cooler we have a intel 5410 Quad-Core at 2.33Ghz

As you can see it has a nice 12mb of cache

4Gb 4x1GB DDR2 ecc Ram

Running at a blazing 667 ๐Ÿ˜›

Next a powerful gpu with a epic 256mb ddr2 ram

A PNY GT 8400 GS 256mb with a build date of 2008 ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

A Ablecom 645 watt psu

Windows 10 loading on it in the background.

**So full base specs are

-LGA771 s5000xvn Dual CPU Intel board
-Single E5410 Quad core at 2.33Ghz
-4GB 4x1GB DDR2 ECC 667 Ram
-2TB Hitachi 7200 RPM HDD (got it out of a dead rig :D)
-PNY GT 8400 GS 256mb DDR2 GPU with S-Video, Dvi and VGA
-645 watt Ablecom loud as fudge psu
-Ugly as sin supermicro case
-Windows 10 Pro x64 for base tests**

Setup last night seemed to go well, all drivers are installed and will get all the benchmarks and some games on it, Any requested test?

Thanks

I should have more ram for that. I will check tomorrow if I remember! I got a bunch out of a Dell similar to this.

Awesome thanks ๐Ÿ™‚ once I get the review done tonight of the rig behind the ghetto build in the last photo I will get some tests done ๐Ÿ™‚
