Griffin - 'Survivor' Unboxing

Hello Everyone and welcome to my first Unboxing. Today we are looking at the Griffin Survivor, a rugged case for the demanding Samsung S4 user.

The box does well to show off the contents inside, with a small window that allows the passerby a chance to feel the material this particular case is made out of. Listed on the outside are some of the cases main selling points, protection from Dust, Sand, Wind and rain. As well as a claim that your phone can fall 6' without damage. Over the course of the next few days I will be putting all these claims to the test in my formal review.

Inside the box you get the following:

Survivor Case
Belt Clip
One sided instruction sheet

There really isn't anything I can complain about with the contents, the phone itself requires no more than what is included. It is nice to see an actual belt clip in the contents, many phones cases are just the case themselves and some come with no instruction whatsoever. Now we will have to wait and see what comes of my experiences, and if this case truly makes the Samsung S4…a Survivor.

It is looking pretty nice for "just a phone case"… 🙂 I did not like the claim about the six feet drop, that sounds too damaging just from the sounds of it. Sure the phone can survive when you have a deep, thick carpet. But I would not have the heart to let it fall into pavement, concrete or similar surface 😞

First snow come today, so let it fell to nice snow blanket  ;D
(that would not be much of a test, but at least the phone will survive 🙂 )

The belt clip do looks nice, tough. It might be used even as clip to holt the phone in place in car, perhaps?
