Crucial MX500 500GB: The evolution of the MX series

Crucial MX500 500GB

The very fact that Crucial was able to charge the same price per Gigabyte as the last generation just underscores who fantastic a value the new MX500 really is. Mix in performance that punches way above its weight and it is obvious that Crucial really outdid themselves.

Earning both our Real Deal and Innovation Awards the Crucial MX500 is a “No-Brainer” in our minds

This one should be the bang for buck champ for a little while.

Fully agree. We cannot wait to review the 1 and 2 TB versions.

Thanks for your comment, Have a great day

Changing to SMI from the big M really makes a HUGE… like GHINA difference. Methinks the 1TB will easily beat the MX300 1TB and edge in on the 2TB capacity version... and that is just shocking as the MX300 2050GB'er is a monster (for a SATA based drive). Crucial really knocked it out of the park. So much so I doubt anyone will care about the type of NAND used... or at least won't until the BX500 lands. THEN things are going to get very interesting again. 😉
