^^^Hence why I have never even tried to get my license. Too many idiots on the road.

My rant: people that think they are entitled to everything.

We have a sale at my second job at a Grocery store. THe sale is No Name tuna for $1.00. At that price everybody went nuts and bought it all. We tried to order more and the warehouse supplier can't get any more. Been this way for a few days now.

So a lady come up and complains that there isn't any on the shelf. I apologize and tell her that we can't get any more until a later date next week. Well she went nuts, yelling and saying that if it's on sale we should ALWAYS have some on hand no matter what. I try to explain to her that at a sale price of just a buck a can that this was not anything unusual to happen. I tell her that she can get a raincheck for the tuna and she agrees. However rainchecks have a limit of SIX cans. This is not negotiable and is a rule brought down from Loblaws itself. She goes nuts again and now is demanding compensation for her disappointment. We finally kicked her out.

I swear working in Retail is literally HELL ON EARTH. So many stupid and self righteous people...

Dude that is insane happy I am not in retail

but is Tuna not normally a lower price?

I always find it odd to see older people with attitudes like this as most young people these days are that exact way.

Retail sucks, period. I worked 10 years at a second Job (Partsource). You want to talk crazy, we had people who shouldn't be operating a spoon let alone working on cars trying to talk like they knew what they were talking about. At one point we had a guy add the Refrigerant Fill up to the top of his Fuel Injection Service Port (Thank you GM for making the Threads the EXACT SAME) and promptly cook his Plugs and seals and injectors by doing so.He wanted PS to pay for the damages because of selling something that 'lacked proper instruction'. I promptly pointed out on the can the BOLD lettering 'To be used by a Certified Service Professional', and asked to see his Mechanics license to forward the complaint. Loved the look on the guys face at that point.

Retail is Hell on Earth. Because we have all taught our children that if we whine and cry loud enough we will get what we want. Not sure how that will ever change in our world, but the worker in his place of work should have more rights than the ass whom comes in for whatever it is he is buying.

Shipping to Quebec...

Why does it cost more and take longer than anywhere else in North America... I get it the French surrender every change they get but come on I'm an Dual Citizen with zero french in me I should not have to be charged more and have my customers wait longer due to the fact they should separate from North America....

Damn you Francophones

Sandisk can go fuck themselves with a rusty pipe. Boxing week of 2013 I bought a 64GB Ultra MicroSDXC card. Original came DOA from Amazon, so they sent me another right away. Replacement dies by mid February, gets RMA'd with Sandisk. Get a replacement that died last week. Sandisk is going to RMA it because I have lifetime warranty on the thing, but they refused to send me a replacement in advance and will not move me to a product line that is not prone to failures. I either get an Ultra or whatever their base model is at class 4, fuck that. Lexar has won my money since I am not waiting 3 weeks + for a replacement. 633x 64GB card, 95mbps, and not a fuckin Sandisk.

I hate slumlords to hell. Place im living in is crumbling and landlord refuses to do anything about a lot of the problems. Until today. My sons bedroom window has been held in place with bolts for about 2 weeks now cause the damn thing fell out. Landlord flat out told me it cost too much to replace and to live with it. While I plan on moving mighty soon (although its difficult as I live in a town of 60k and the rents here rival that of executive suites in downtown Vancouver or Toronto and blatant discrimination), my sons window came inches from mangling his face and head. Had I not moved his bed away from the window a couple of days ago, he would have eaten said window.

I am with you there we had the worse landlord ever when we moved to calgary. We had drug dealers beside us the landlord just let cause everyone issues. They even threatened us all the time.

But then karma kicked their asses. When we moved out a party house moved in and when the dealers complained they got their asses handed to them.

It was a happy day when we heard that from our old neighbour haha.

As soon as it happened, I managed to swallow my bloodlust and called a lawyer. Filed a lawsuit just shortly afterwards. Biggest insult - he was here to show another apartment he has avail in the same building and outright ignored me, collected rent from another tenant and drove off to the casino (its literally across the road from me). Had my very nice neighbor in the back not coaxed me over to calm down, I may well have been telling this story after a bail court hearing.

Normally I would just accept he was a slumlord and live with it until finding better accommodations, but when my kid almost gets his head carved up because something essential is "too expensive" that's where the rage comes out.

He isn't going to be too pleased as my lawyer scheduled a bylaw city inspector to come in a document everything. Looks like he may be on the hook for previous rent being paid to be refunded due to him being a slumlord, and compensation for having to send my son off to family for whoever long it may be to replace the window.

Did I mention we have had rain and wind with gusts up to 70km/h for the past week and its forecasted to remain like that for the next 7-10 days?

You knowI truly dont get slum lords. I understand that some tenants can be dicks and take advantage of everything...but FFS its your property, have some fucking pride in it. Hell its probably going to cost him a shit ton more now than it would have IF he had done the right thing in the first place. Hope you take him for everything he is worth so that the NEXT time it happens he goes 'maybe its better to fix the small problem before it becomes a BIG problem'.

While there is allkinds of types and reasons, I found the number one reason is simple, money. Sure if you plan to keep a property or flip the existing building then you should be fixing issues, but if the plan is simply to pay off the mortgage and flip the property then honestly why would you. From a money making point of view not a person one. I f I plan on tearing down the housing or selling with the intent of tearing down the residence then the minimal cash put in returns the highest investment. Now as stated if you plan to sell the building with the lot then yes, bathrooms/ kitchens, roofs, ect and yes windows.

You should be able to take your landlord to arbitration if he wont fix anything without having to sue him in what I would expect is small claims court no?

Gen 1 and 2, yes. Gen 3 has fixed the large majority of issues with the shotgun, to the point where Wolverine Supplies has a few rotating around Canada for Canadiangunnutz users to use and abuse. So far no major problems, just a broken part that Wolverine sent out a new part for.

    • The all new Crucial X6 may not win any awards for sheer speed (as it is SATA and not NVMe based) nor for having the lowest asking price in the market… and certainly no awards for being the most robust; but those are about the only major negatives we can think of. This is a rather flexible, predictable, and not overly expensive model that we can see making waves in a corner of the market that has become rather saturated of late. That in and of itself is impressive.   Read the full review below  https://www.realhardwarereviews.com/crucial-x6-2tb-external-ssd-review/
    • Taken as a whole, if you are not impressed by what Seagate was able to do… you have not been paying attention. It may not be flashy, it arguably is not being marketed optimally, and certainly is not a ‘revolutionary break through’ we have come to expect, but this new gen is a great evolution to an existing foundation. A firm foundation that has been further refined, and this refinement does pay tangible dividends. As such, if you can afford the asking price the Seagate IronWolf Pro 18TB easily justifies its professional moniker and its asking price – and then some. For those that cannot? Fear not, the release of this 18TB capacity model also means eventual price adjustment(s) to the smaller capacity models… and they are not chopped bits of mystery meat either – especially when they get 2TB platter tech in the future.       https://www.realhardwarereviews.com/seagate-ironwolf-pro-18tb-review/

    • This is honestly the perfect thing for people who love having a little personal flair in their bedroom, or on their desk. Overall it’s a solid buy especially as gift if your willing to put some money behind it. If your looking for something cheaper they do offer smaller and cheaper versions in their pixel art series that you can buy.     Read the full review here
    • The LaCie 2Big RAID going to be right for every customer and every possible scenario? Of course not. Not everyone needs the flexibility a dual bay D.A.S has to offer. Not everyone will be able to get over toting around this much added weight. Not everyone will like the lack of daisy chaining abilities. Others still will prefer to spend the same amount of money on 1Big Dock and get more features at the expense of RAID abilities. For security conscious professionals, the lack of a lock on the drive caddies will be a major turn off. As such not everyone will be able to justify the asking price. Those that do will however love what it this model can do. It really can offer desktop levels of capacity without the weight of the typical tower PC, and can even offer decent data redundancy/protection with only a moderate performance hit.     Check our full review below.  Read the Full Review
