AMD FX rig

With the sale of my last foray on ddr4 territory ( Asus prime z270 + i3-7350k + 12 GB DDR4 ) I got a used AMD FX 6300 system with a Gigabyte 970 Gaming board with headphone amplifier and M.2 NVME slot ! Certain discord channel team members accused me that I was living dangerously having the system on bubble wrap and anti-static bag. So a guy came in and helped with that !
SYSTEM CONFIGURATION

AMD FX 6300 CPU
GIGABYTE GA-970-Gaming mobo
DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX 400 heatsink ( got it on sale at CC, CM212 performance for half the price )
20 GB RAM DDR3 1600
XFX RX 480 4GB
THE FAMOUS SAMSUNG 950 PRO NVME 512 GB installed on an adapter to really offer it 4 lanes, the onboard connector only offers 2 pcie lanes.

The last picture shows an Asus ROG Strix RX 480 in need of a rescue with a missing fan. Unfortunately taking out the last fan completely seems to have compromised the card's cooling system, in the sense that only the middle fan is working, the last one doesn't spin at all. I ordered the original fan from China, it will be here in 3 weeks !

Thanks for sharing the rig, my benching test amd am3+ rig was actually really similar same board and cpu for some time.

Those strix fans seem really hit and miss as our own team has had about 10 break on us now.

Would recommend trying an arctic replacement cooler if another fan breaks

looks much safer in the case haha

Does it fit well on Asus's custom PCB ?

@MARSTG we will soon find out, RHR signed them this morning and we will start with their cpu coolers but quickly move onto the gpu coolers
