Friend of mine gave me a GTX 470 as a temp gaming card while I wait for my 680 to be RMA'ed. While it was alright, it just lacked the grunt I have been accustomed to over the years. Life as of recent hasn't afforded me the time to sit and do what I love doing most - irking the most out of my hardware.
Having said that, here is what I managed to get out of my GTX 470 so far. Seems to have no issues, although ramping up the fans on this card to 65% is slightly annoying , the gains have been tremendous at this point.
Wolfenstein New order now plays flawlessly on medium/high settings @ 1920x1080 with what I would imagine 40-50fps steady.
Not too shabby for a 4 year old GPU
