Need an Adobe Suite capable laptop any recommendations

Needing something with power and not a huge cost. Does not need a awesome battery but does need an amazing screen.

Going to be using after effects and premier mostly.

Any recommendations?

Used but recent ThinkPad W-series with high-option LCD? (and big SSD)
shrug I upgraded the display in the T510 I got from LP to the 1920x1080 option and it looks pretty good for not being IPS.

IIRC the 1920x1200 or something display that was shipped in the watercooled ASUS G2S-A1 looked really nice, but that is ancient and slow.

Does this count as a work computer that pays for itself over time by being fast?

Need a quad core minimum and a large cuda or radeon cored based gpu.

Ram and drive don't matter as they would be upgraded by me.

1080p is fine but cost is key

Found a good laptop in the end used for next to nothing.

Kijiji story… what's this now 10001:

Damaged Precision M4600, will not turn on $50

Sadly the laptop was not in the same city as me but was being sold by someone I work with in Nisku.
He tells me it's all mine if I want it and will ship it down with the next shipment to my office.

So I get the unit and its heavily dented all over and the screen does not light at all.

I open it and find the 2 lower dimms half in, pop them out plug them in fully.
Notice one of the dents is right where the HDD is so swap that for a ssd.
Power on the system and still no screen but all the lights turn on.
Open the LCD panel bezel and find its not even plugged in :S. Plug it in and there is power πŸ˜„ and a non damaged screen πŸ˜„
The MSATA ssd is as well not functioning but not due to being knocked out but due to the fact its not enabled in the bios.

Load up windows on it and it's all up and going. Full specs are:

I7 2820QM 2.3Ghz Quadcore with Hyper Threading
16GB DDR3 1333 (4x4GB)
256GB Kingston SSD
128GB Adata Msata
Nvidia Quadro 1000m 2GB + Intel HD3000
Sadly a 1366x768 LCD want to upgrade to 1080p soon.
Upgraded Broadcom wireless AC card

I have used the system to edit the last 2 videos without any major problems.

This weekend I fully rip it apart to apply new compound to the gpu and cpu and the fans are starting to run longer and louder.

All and all a pretty good find and very happy with it. If the pull apart is not so bad I will most likely upgrade the gpu to something better later on as well πŸ™‚

Can't argue with that price. Your lucky it wasn't more damaged.
