Just a random point about something I have seen come up over the last few years. People ask what the best way is to ship a PC, how to protect it, etc. You never know when you could end up moving, and there is likely nothing better to move you PC in than the box the case shipped in. Form fitted and designed to get out of the factory and to you without damage, it can do the same with components in it.

My desktop make it to me after being packed, loaded on to a truck, driven a few hours, packed into a container, loaded onto a ship and being out at sea for 2 months, coming out of the container, getting through a customs inspection, loaded onto another truck, and then delivered to my house.

I pulled the GPU out and CPU heatsink off and never had an issue. I know there is some luck involved, but you have to stack the odds as best you can.
