Tonight I tried the Okanagan Spring Porter and this stuff is awesome, deep dark taste would be awesome to use when cooking a good steak.

Another awesome beer is anything Wildrose all of them are just great but hard to find outside of SW Calgary.

The fiancee and I quite enjoy Rickard's Winter Ale called Oakhouse.

We just tried Ontario Wet Hop Pale Ale (Craft brewed in small batches). Had to describe how it tastes (as I'm writing this a few hours later) but it was good, and came in a 750mL bottle.

Back a couple of months ago I tried a beer called "Grandville Island, Lions winter ale" at the Cactus Club downtown Vancouver, it was fantastic!  I looked all over Alberta for it and couldn't find it anywhere.  I was at the liquor store the other day and noticed they had it in!  I was pretty excited so I bought a couple boxes.  It was warm, so I had to wait till the next night to enjoy it, but mmmmmm its sooo good.

I'm going ot have to try that Oakhouse winter ale too Ari, see if its similar.

Grandville Island makes a good beer, we used to enjoy them back in BC have not seen them since moving to Calgary.

since moving to calgary i have taken a liking to that mill street lemon tea beer. It's been about a 6 kingcan a day addiction. Also tried out that velvet fog  stuff from wild rose and  i'm loving that as well.

Montreal has quite a few micro-breweries. If anyone ever get's a chance, try any Dieu Du Ciel.

Besides my standard Guinness, there is a beer made by Cest What on Front Street (Toronto) called Steves Deadly Chocolate Orange and its really very good.

Popped open one of these bad boys yesterday. Loved it.

That looks good! Where did you buy it?

A new Booze Store down the street from me (Langley, BC) had them. Might have to go back and get a few more.

Langley eh, what's the store called?

It's not listed anywhere yet, just opened up this week. 80th and 208th, like a block south of the school on 208th. There is a Independent Foods or whatever in the same complex.

Beer complaint… Moxies, they need to figure out what they have on tap the first time, took 3 times last night for me to get a Guiness haha

Moxies = Tits > Brains…

MMMMM damn good beers I found.
First Rail Ale

A great tasting Dark beer with a solid chocolate taste just shy of a good port but still tasty
7 out of 10 for this, its a good tasting beer but it just doesnt wow you but it does come in a 1L resealable bottle so that got it another +1

Second a amazing light tasting beer

Lazy Mutt is awesome, plus you can feel like a badass with your 650ml beer haha.
Flavor is super light this is a beer I would have instead of white wine with a good fish dish or light meal or just cuz you want a beer that wont knock you on your ass.
9.5 out of 10 for this one

Lazy Mutt! Haha love it.
Not a fan of wheat beers usually though. That nut brown one with a hint of chocolate looks awesome though!!

I've got my own brand of nut brown for Chrisk

I had this last weekend: Longwood - The One That Got Away. Very very nice!

Longwood is the same brewery that makes the Stoutnik I posted before. So far their track record is excellent. I'm going on a hunt this evening to try and find more from them.
